Festival Fever
Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust and its partners provide and give support to an increasing number of public events taking place from Spring onwards around the borough. Whether you enjoy poetry, music, dance, street arts or theatre, there is something here for everyone.

The Turnpike Gallery
The Turnpike Gallery opened in 1971. It is a modern, large gallery (300 sq. m.) situated within the Turnpike Centre in the Civic Square, Leigh. The Turnpike Centre also houses Leigh Library and the Derby Room, and provides a focal point for cultural activity in the centre of the town.

The gallery aims to engage the widest possible audience with contemporary art and artists, through exhibitions, learning and outreach.

The Arts Exchange
The Arts Exchange is the best way to discover all the arts activities and opportunities taking place in the Wigan area. The organisations who are members of the Arts Exchange cover everything from writing, publishing, media and IT, graphics, photography, visual arts, performance, theatre, and all forms of music and dance. Many groups run classes, courses, and stage regular performances.
