Peter Burt - Executive Director
(Business & Service Development)
Peter is responsible for the commercial development of the Trust,
combining line management responsibilities for Marketing and Tourism
with the Enterprise activities at Haigh Hall and in Leisure Venues.
In addition his team oversees the Business Change efforts for the Trust
in a number of key ways. Firstly through coordinating input into major
projects with the Council such as the ‘Joint Service Centre’ in Wigan
and the fast approaching major ‘Building Schools for The Future’
programme; but also by focusing the efforts of our Service Development
and Improvement Groups and playing a key role in seeking new
opportunities through the Commissioning process.
Pete has worked for the Trust for four years, until recently as Business
and Commercial Development Manager, with that remit and duties now
combined into his current role.
Before joining the Trust in 2004, Pete had a successful twenty two year
career in the private sector working for Centrica, ScottishPower and as
Managing Director of an Electrical Appliance Servicing Business.
Pete has two sons Philip (21) and Mark (18). Along with his partner
Karen, he enjoys playing tennis, is a keen Preston North End supporter,
enjoys sports boating and hill walking particularly in the Lakes and
North West Scotland. |
