Cycling

Cycling is a fun, free and safe way to exercise. Our adult cycle programme provides regular guided rides across the borough on traffic-free paths, ideal for those who may not have been on a bike for a long time - we even provide cycles and helmets if they are needed.

The cycling programme is a partnership between Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust, Cycle Projects and NHS Ashton, Leigh and Wigan.

Please note: cycle sessions are now finished until January. Please contact (01942) 488481 for alternative activities.

Due to weather conditions please contact 01942 488481 to check if your
cycle ride is on.

Health Walks
Our Health Walks are lead by Active Living staff, volunteers and our extensive partnership across Wigan Borough to offer an accessible yet diverse programme that features various lengths of walk, historic walks, nature walks and Nordic walking.

Our walks aim to use the great outdoors to encourage adults of all ages and abilities to become more active in a safe and sociable atmosphere.

If you would like further information about the programme, please contact (01942) 488481.
