Joining the Library

Image: Girl reading a book under a treeYou can join the library at any age, and it’s free! When you join our library service, you can borrow books from any of our libraries using your card. You can see where all our libraries are by clicking here.

There are three simple steps to follow if you want to join the library. And here they are!

1. Ask at your local library for a membership form;
2. Ask your mum, dad or carer to fill it in and sign it;
3. Take the form back to your library, and we’ll give you a library card.

Then you’ll be an official member of your library!

A note about using the Internet at the library
Please note that if you’re under 9 years old, you are not able to use the internet in our libraries unless you have an adult with you. If you’re 9 years old (or older), you can use the internet on your own, as long as your parent or carer has filled in the Internet Permission section on the back of the membership form.
