RENEWING LIBRARY LOANS
All items that you have on loan may be
renewed at any of the libraries in the borough, either in person, by
telephone or online.
To renew online you will need your library
membership number and your individual PIN number, which you can pick-up
at the library on your next visit.
Just go to
www.wlct.org/libraries and choose the Library Catalogue-Talis
Prism link. Alternatively, you can go directly to the log-on screen
by clicking the link below.
►
Talis Prism log on screen
You can do this from home or use a
computer in the library. By clicking on the My Account button you can
log in and see what you have out on loan and renew titles at any time of
the day or night. If anyone else has reserved a particular item, you
cannot renew it for the full loan period, but you will be given three
fine-free days in which to return it to the library.
The online service also gives you the ability to reserve any item that
is in stock at the click of a button. The whole of the borough’s library
stock is held in the online catalogue, so you can see if the item that
you want is in stock and where it is held. You can also search specific
types of stock such as children’s material or large print books, or
check the stock of your own local library.
If you cannot remember if you have already reserved a book, or borrowed
it before, the online service allows you to see both current and past
reservations and previous loans.
The online service also offers the opportunity to notify the library of
any change of address or e-mail them any comments that you may have.
Any renewal fees, reservation charges or fines are added to your account
and displayed on the screen, so that you can pay these on your next
library visit.
Talis Prism is designed to make the library more accessible, offering an
easy to use catalogue and giving library users the ability to reserve
and renew a wide range of library stock for themselves.
