Your local library is busting
with loads of brilliant information! It doesn’t matter whether you want
to know why there’s no tube station at Muswell Hill in London, or
whether you’re just keen to find the answer to that last crossword clue,
you’ll find we have the answer.
 First for Information
Your local library is still the one when it comes to finding that
elusive information. Staff at all our libraries will be only too pleased
to help you find what you’re looking for. You’ll find that all our
libraries offer:
- Encyclopaedias, directories and dictionaries
- Newspapers and magazines
- Information about Wigan Council, local and national organisations
- Free public access to the

and Word Processing

Information Services at Leigh Library and Wigan Library
 Leigh Library and Wigan Library are home to the main reference and an
even wider range of information services. Everyone can use the Reference
and Information Service, even if you’re not a library member. Reference
stock cannot be borrowed but photocopying and scanning facilities are
available. The Information Service at both Leigh and Wigan Library
contains a comprehensive collection of reference materials including
encyclopaedias, dictionaries, atlases, yearbooks, statistics and careers
material. Additional resources available include:
