The Award is now in its third year, and there is a brand new shortlist now for the 2010 Explore Book Award.

How were the books for the shortlists selected?
We contacted all the publishers we could think of and asked for submissions. Boxes of books arrived at Libraries HQ and these books were sent out and read and reviewed by children around the borough. From the reviews that came in we drew up two shortlists.
