We are pleased to offer a summer programme of Heritage Cemetery Walks in
the Leigh and Wigan Areas. Experienced Local Historian Tony Ashcroft
will lead the walks and ensure that anything of historical interest or
folklore will be pointed out along the way…a great way to get out and

An evening with local author, former colliery worker and ex-Lancashire
Mining Museum Curator Alan Davies. Find out more about how artists have
found inspiration in the world of mining from ancient Greek vases
depicting miners hoisting ore to photographs documenting the 1984
Miner's Strike.

BUILDING THE BIG DITCH

WRITING THE PAST
