Flowers in bloom

Let's kick out those winter blues and put a spring back in our step. Why not trial one of our gyms with our Valentine’s offer and burn off some of that winter bulge ready to woo your Valentine, or even go on a Valentine’s walk around Haigh.

There are plenty of Easter activities for the kids in all our libraries and some family and children’s drop in sessions at the Turnpike Gallery. There are many activities in Wigan Parks from Easter egg hunts to bug hunts, and watch out for the opening of the Museum of Wigan Life happening in April. We have two festivals happening over the next few months, the Wigan Food and Drink Festival with special guests Antony Worrall Thompson and Jilly Goolden plus the Words Festival with celebrities galore. So join in and have fun…

Remember booking is essential for many events so we would advise to always ring your chosen venue beforehand to avoid disappointment. WLCT takes no responsibility for the accuracy of the information contained within this guide.

Public transport information is available from GMPTE on 0871 200 2233. Calls cost 10p per minute from a landline. You can also access information via their website www.gmpte.com

Please note: The ‘what’s on’ guide is only as good as the events that are contained within it, so please remember to keep your entries coming in.

Don’t forget that we also need to be informed of any changes that occur to your activities, particularly those listed within regular events and community events.

The deadline for the May/June/July 2010 issue is FRIDAY 19TH APRIL – we need to have your entries before this date.
