The Haigh Music Festival 2009 takes place on Sunday 5th July. Join us for a great day of music from some of the brightest bands in the area! If you can't make it to the Festival itself, we'll be updating our Twitter feed live on the day, with the latest news, reviews and exclusive interviews. By all accounts, it's going to be a hot one!

Who is the greatest rugby legend you’ve ever seen play for one of the borough’s home teams? That’s the question Wigan’s heritage service are posing as part of a unique exhibition dedicated to the history of the borough. From June 10th - for four weeks - Wigan and Leigh folk will have a chance to settle one of the great sporting debates… and vote for the greatest rugby player to have ever played in Wigan and Leigh.

We look at every single photograph submitted, and then choose a selection to display in our Online Gallery.
